Applicants to Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing must apply to both the School of Nursing and Camden County
College. Applications to the respective schools are available via their websites: www.lourdesnursingschool.org and
www.camdencc.edu.
Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing is a full-time daytime program. However, clinical rotations may be evenings and
weekends. There are two application cycles each year with deadlines of April 1
st
and September 1
st
. Students are
encouraged to apply 12 months before their desired start date. Only complete applications are considered for acceptance.
The following items must be received by the deadline:
1. Application and Application Fee $55
2. Essential Abilities for Nursing Practice” form, signed and dated
3. Essay of at least 100 words detailing why the applicant wants to enter the nursing profession
4. Official high school transcript or proof of GED
5. Official transcripts from any and all previously attended colleges, including Camden County College
6. Applicants coming from another nursing program must submit at least one (1) letter from that nursing
program; the letter must be sent directly from the former nursing program to the School of Nursing.
Recommended but not required: two letters of recommendation from recent instructors or employers. These
letters must be signed originals and on official school or company stationery to be acceptable.
7. All applicants must have a minimum overall college GPA of 2.8 to be considered. GPA is based on at least 3
three credit academic courses at the college mostly recently attended. Minimum GPA does not guarantee
acceptance into the Program. Applicants compete against one another’s qualifications for seats in the
Program.
8. OFFICIAL transcript for the ATI TEAS with a minimum total score of 60%. To be competitive, the
applicant's total score should meet or exceed the national mean. You are allowed two ATI TEAS attempts 30
days apart in an application cycle, and three attempts lifetime. Scores are valid for 2 years after the test date.
Register to take the ATI TEAS at www.atitesting.com. If you take the ATI TEAS at Camden County
College, you will be given an official transcript in a sealed envelope. If you take the ATI TEAS elsewhere,
you must request that ATI send Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing the results electronically.
The TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is mandatory for applicants who did not graduate from a U.S.
high school after a 4 year attendance; minimum scores: Writing, 25; Reading, 21; Listening, 17; Speaking, 26. Scores are
valid for 2 years after the test date. Additional requirement: WES (World Education Services) evaluation of high school
and college transcripts.
60 students are accepted to the nursing program in both Fall and Spring semesters.
Students must complete Year One coursework in the School curriculum within the first 3 consecutive academic
semesters following acceptance into the nursing program. A minimum overall GPA of 2.8 must be achieved to be
eligible for enrollment in the nursing classes.
Camden County College and Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing have collaborated with the W. Cary
Edwards School of Nursing at Thomas Edison State University to create a dual admission nursing program that
enables School of Nursing students to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree in one additional
year of online coursework at considerable cost savings.
