UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS APPLICATION
2024
Application Information
Application Form
Wake Forest accepts the Common Application and the Coalition,
Powered by SCOIR, Application. ese applications can be
completed online. If you are unable to submit your application
online, Wake Forest will accept this completed paper application in
lieu of an online application.
Wake Forest asks that an application fee of $85 accompany the
application. (If this fee presents a challenge to you, you may request
a fee waiver later in this application.) If paying by check, make
checks payable to Wake Forest University.
You MUST sign the application.
Any materials submitted as part of the admissions application
(DVDs, CDs, books, magazines, etc.) become property of the
University and will not be returned.
Early Decision Plans
Early Decision plans are for incoming rst-year students who have
selected Wake Forest as their rst-choice school and only active
Early Decision application. Early Decision candidates must apply no
later than November 15 and are notied on a rolling basis. e Early
Decision II deadline is January 1, and candidates are notied by
February 15. Both Early Decision plans are binding. Students agree,
if admitted, to withdraw all other active admissions applications and
enroll at Wake Forest for Fall 2024 by submitting a nonrefundable
$1,500 deposit within two weeks of acceptance. If your enrollment
decision will be dependent on need or merit-based nancial
assistance, we recommend a thorough review of the Wake Forest
nancial aid website prior to application submission.
Early Action
e Early Action application plan is for students who identify as
rst-generation college students. For the purposes of this year’s Wake
Forest University application, we will designate rst-generation
college students based on the following: “First generation” means the
child of parents who have not graduated from a four-year accredited
college or university. Brothers, sisters, or other family members who
graduated do not exclude you from participation; neither does a
parent currently enrolled. is criteria also applies to international
students. “First generation” can also include the children of parents
who earned a degree in another country, immigrated to the United
States, and are underemployed in the U.S. Whether domestic or
international, if the student resides with and receives support from
only one parent, the “rst generation” classication is based on that
parent’s education.
Students applying via Early Action must submit an application no
later than November 15. Admissions decisions will be made available
to applicants by January 15. Oers of admission are non-binding, but
we expect a decision regarding your enrollment at Wake Forest by
May 1. If your Early Action application is deferred, you would then
be reconsidered in the Regular Decision application pool.

Secondary School Report
An ocial transcript of your high school courses and grades must
accompany the Secondary School Report. e Secondary School
Report must be completed and signed by your school counselor.
Recommendations
School counselors are asked to submit a written evaluation along
with the Secondary School Report. Wake Forest also requires
an additional Teacher Recommendation Form. is should
be completed by a teacher who has been your instructor in an
academic subject, preferably from junior or senior year. e writer
should send the form directly to the Oce of Undergraduate
Admissions.
Standardized Tests
Wake Forest values individual and academic achievement,
initiative, talent, and character above standardized testing.
As such, standardized test scores are not a requirement of our
admissions process. If scores are submitted for consideration,
they will be treated as supplemental information through the
evaluation process.
We welcome self-reported SAT and/or ACT score(s), as well as
those for IB exams and AP tests. TOEFL, IELTS, and Duolingo
scores can also be self-reported. Applicants may, however, submit
ocial score reports at any point in the admissions process.
Aer enrollment but prior to matriculation, students are expected
to submit their ocial standardized scores from the appropriate
testing center for verication purposes. Providing inaccurate
information may necessitate a re-review of your admissions
application, and could result in a revocation of an oer of
admission.
